We would like to apologize for the downtime that we have had today. I contacted our host at about 9AM (EST) this morning. I guess the guy that was supposed to be looking into it took a long brunch or something since nothing was done until 7 hours later after a few ignored replies and finally a new support ticket. I guess the important part is that we seem to be back up and running at full speed now though. :)

vBadvanced is proud to announce that our newest product, vBadvanced Blogicles, is now ready for private beta testing. For those who may be interested in participating in the beta test, please continue to read below for more details.

What is a Blogicle?
A Blogicle is a funny word that we made up from the words "Blog" and "Article". Though the product can be used for MUCH more than a blog or article system, we didn't want to combine too many words and make the name extremely long. ;)
Our main focus for this product has been to make it extremely dynamic so that it can serve a wide variety of purposes. A few examples of this would be a members blog system, articles, file downloads directory, classifieds section, or just about anything similar. Key phrases such as "Category" and "Entry" can be changed via a setting and will affect every instance of that word on the user side of the software. This, combined with some of the options and features of the software make it very easy for you to customize things and use the product to showcase just about anything you would like.

After nearly 2 months with the beta and RC versions of the links directory being public, we're proud to announce the release of vBa Links Directory 2.0.0 (Gold). We are confident that the number of remaining bugs should be minimal enough to warrant the "Gold" release and that the product is very stable now. Current license holders can find the new version in the Members' Area here.

This is mostly a maintenance release to fix all known bugs that popped up in 2.0 RC1, though a new option to require/request reciprocal links on a per-category basis has also been added.

vBadvanced Links Directory 2.0 RC1 has just been released and is available in the Members' Area for existing license holders. This is mostly a maintenance release to fix all currently known bugs, and bring the product up to "Release Candidate" status. Other than bug fixes, there are a few new options worth mentioning.


Maximum Keywords Allowed
This setting allows you to specify a maximum number of keywords that may be included when submitting links.

vBadvanced CMPS 2.2.1 (vB 3.6) has just been released and is available in the 'Programs / Scripts' section of the site. This is mostly just a maintenance release to fix all currently known bugs, along with a few small optimizations. Upgrade instructions are the same as usual, and may be found in the readme.html file that comes with the package.


New Files:

vBadvanced Links Directory 2.0 Beta 2 is now available for current customers in the Members' Area here. Quite a bit of work has gone into the new version to add new features and optimize things for better performance.

I know some of you have been wondering where I disappeared to, as I havenÂ’t been especially active around here. Well, IÂ’m about to let the cat out of the bag! :D

For more than a year, I have been working with the team at Zoints to build a system that will help take online forums to a new level. I think youÂ’re going to be thrilled about this partnership, as itÂ’s going to mean significant benefits for those who like our vBadvanced products as well as forum owners and their members in general.

vBadvanced Links Directory 1.0.1 (vB 3.6) is now available in the Members' Area here. The main changes from the previous version are that it is compatable with vBulletin v3.6, and it now installs itself as a product with no file modifications necessary. Upgrade instructions are very simple, and may be found in the readme.html file included with the download package.

In addition, we have extended all current vBadvanced Links Directory licenses for an extra 6 months (180 days to be exact) beyond the license's original expiration date. This means that everyone who has purchased the product before today will have the additional time to access the Members' Area and download new versions. Our customers have been waiting for a vB 3.6 compatable update for longer than we would like, and we wanted to show our appreciation for everyone's patience.

We've just finished making a few changes here that we hope will help to organize things a little better, and improve everyone's experience.
