vBadvanced Dynamics v1.0 RC2 has just been released and is now available in the Members' Area for current license holders. For those who are not familiar with vBa Dynamics, please see the product info page for more details.

1.0 RC2 is mostly a maintenance release to fix any currently known bugs. There are also a few new features and options, which are as follows:

As some of you may have already noticed, we have updated our products system and Members' Area here just a bit. The main change that you may notice is that you will now receive an actual license in the Members' Area when following the links to download the CMPS. This should make things a bit easier for our customers as you will no longer have to go through the ordering system when downloading new versions after you have done so for the first time.

Before adding a new license to purchase/download a product, you are also now asked to supply a URL for all products. In addition to helping us to keep track of what sites are installing vBa CMPS, this will also help us in providing support since will have your URL on file and shouldn't have to ask for you to post it in a support thread. For those concerned about privacy, please rest assured that your URL will not be seen by anyone besides vBadvanced staff members, nor will we share this information with any 3rd parties.

vBadvanced is proud to announce the public release of it's newest product, vBadvanced Dynamics! (fka Blogicles) As many of you may already know, vBa Dynamics has been in it's beta testing stages for several months. Thanks to our beta testers help finding bugs and feature suggestions, we feel that the product is stable and ready for public release.

Designed with versatility in mind, vBadvanced Dynamics is a highly configurable, multi-purpose product that can be used to catalog and display a database of just about anything. From articles, file sharing, user blogs, a simple categorized list of recipes, and just about everything in between. Features include an advanced module system, unlimited categories, attachment uploads, ratings, custom fields, over 50 usergroup permissions, user favorites, e-mail subscriptions, SEO friendly URLs, and much more with over 225 configuration settings. Have more than one use in mind? It's optional and unique "Multiple Instance" licensing option makes it easy to install multiple copies on the same web site that are completely independent from one another.

vBadvanced Dynamics (fka Blogicles) is currently undergoing private beta testing. Since we know some customers who are not a part of the test are still following the product, we will still be posting announcements regarding new releases publically.

vBadvanced is proud to announce the release of vBadvanced Dynamics v1.0 Beta 3. One of the changes to the product that you have probably already noticed is that is has been renamed from "Blogicles" to "Dynamics". We feel this name better fits the software, and this will be the software's new, official, and permanent title.

We'd like to inform our customers that we will slightly increasing the prices for our products. This price change will go into effect on July 1st, 2007, and will include the following changes:

Branding Free Licenses (all products) - $49.99 (+$10).
vBa Links Directory - $39.99 (+$5).
vBa Links Directory Renewals (1 year) - $14.99 (+$5).

vBadvanced is proud to announce the release of vBadvanced CMPS v3.0 RC1. The newest version has been in the works for quite a while and we feel that it addresses most of the problems or limitations from previous versions. Below is a complete list of what's new in v3.0.


Key Changes

vBulletin has just released their latest version, 3.6.6. More information regarding this release may be found here at vbulletin.com.

With the release, we know there are concerns about vBadvanced products being compatible, and how to upgrade. At this point in time, there are no known compatibility issues with vBulletin 3.6.6 and any vBadvanced products. We have upgraded vBadvanced.com and do have conformation from other sites that have upgraded without any issues as well.

vBadvanced Blogicles is currently undergoing private beta testing. Since we know some customers who are not a part of the test are still following the product, we will still be posting announcements regarding new releases publically.

• New Attachment Options

vBadvanced has finally been moved to it's new server. The new server includes a better processor and more RAM, so hopefully things will be running very smoothly around here. As with any server move, it may take up to 48 hours for the DNS servers to be fully updated. Until that time, you can still access vBadvanced by going to the following link:

We've also taken this opportunity to upload some changes to our Members' Area, support ticket system, and products pages here. Some changes needed to be made to support the new "Multiple Instance" licenses for vBa Blogicles, so I figured I might as well do a bit of a renovation while I was at it. None of the changes were too drastic, so everything should still look pretty familiar. A good part of the changes were just back-end improvements to optimize the code, and changing the layout of a few pages to (hopefully) make some things easier to navigate.

vBadvanced Links Directory v2.0.1 has just been released and is now available to current license holders in the Members' Area. This is mostly a maintenance release to fix all currently known issues. Other changes also include:

• Main settings page changed to allow you to select single setting groups.
• Image verification for guests is now available for searching, reporting links/posts, and sending links to friends, in addition to submitting links and replying to links from previous versions.
• New permission setting to enable/disable usergroups from reporting links.
• "Show Sub-Categories" option updated so that the smaller listing of sub-categories within the categorybits can be turned into a column formatted listing.
• rel="nofollow" tags added throughout the templates to help direct search engines.

We would like to apologize for the downtime that we have had today. I contacted our host at about 9AM (EST) this morning. I guess the guy that was supposed to be looking into it took a long brunch or something since nothing was done until 7 hours later after a few ignored replies and finally a new support ticket. I guess the important part is that we seem to be back up and running at full speed now though. :)

What is a Blogicle?
A Blogicle is a funny word that we made up from the words "Blog" and "Article". Though the product can be used for MUCH more than a blog or article system, we didn't want to combine too many words and make the name extremely long. ;)
Our main focus for this product has been to make it extremely dynamic so that it can serve a wide variety of purposes. A few examples of this would be a members blog system, articles, file downloads directory, classifieds section, or just about anything similar. Key phrases such as "Category" and "Entry" can be changed via a setting and will affect every instance of that word on the user side of the software. This, combined with some of the options and features of the software make it very easy for you to customize things and use the product to showcase just about anything you would like.
